I have always had a love for storytelling, whether through the use of inanimate objects or the human body––which is what gravitates me towards performing arts since a young age. I am particularly intrigued by the emotional, physical and psychological impact that a performance is able to have on the audience, within a span of an hour or simply within a split second.
I view my work as a tool to record and respond to the world around me. Through photography and moving images, I explore my relationship with the camera by being both behind and in front of it. Drawing influences from both theatre and cinema, I create narratives using makeup, clothing, facial expressions and body language.
